Burns Sowder begins consulting with Arizona State University Art Museum to develop a corporate sponsorship program for the Desert Initiative. A new interdisciplinary exploration of desert cultural and environmental practices, the Desert Initiative will engage diverse, non-traditional arts audiences locally, regionally and internationally. More than a dozen Southwest US based arts and educational institutions are participating in the first iteration of the Desert Initiative, which is scheduled to begin presenting public programs, installations and research projects in 2012.
